With a mission of creating country music that is meaningful and impacts his listeners’ lives, he’s known for stand-out No. 1 hits like:
- Don’t Laugh at Me
- Back at One
- 19 Somethin’
- Places I’ve Never Been
- I Do (Cherish You)
- Back at One
- She’s in Love
- Jacob’s Ladder
Since garnering his Top New Male Vocalist title, Wills has become a staple in country music, like salt and pepper on a table; the chapters may have changed, but the story continues.
“I think I’m a good storyteller to make a song meaningful. Whether romantic or ‘reality,’ my focus is on the music delivery to make it my own for the people who listen—so that they can make it their own.”
Seth Cook, a Yorktown, Indiana native, will be opening for Mark Wills!
Seth Cook is the complete talent package. He’s a Singer, Songwriter, and Musician, but most importantly, he’s an Entertainer.
Seth grew up in the small town of Yorktown, Indiana. He began his musical career at the young age of 4, sharing the stage with his parents’ touring group. His first instrument was the drums, but Seth eventually moved to playing guitar at the age of 15.
The sound of that guitar led Seth to not only learning other recording artists’ songs, but it soon became a passion for writing his own material. Seth already had a publishing deal offer in Nashville before he’d even moved to the city at the age of 20. Shortly after making the move, Seth began writing songs for what would become his first official musical release, a 6 song EP in 2015. Enlisting the help of award winning producer Matt McClure (Lee Brice, Kellie Pickler, Dylan Scott), Seth found someone who listened to the young artist’s vision, allowing him to explore his creative freedom. Cook’s guitar work can be heard on all 6 tracks of the EP.
Seth has already logged countless hours on the stage headlining venues throughout the Midwest. Says Seth: “I love playing shows and making new friends. My first love is the stage. It’s in my blood, my DNA. It’s my home away from home.”
Seth continues to grow his fan base playing shows from coast to coast. In his young career, Seth has been blessed to open for Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, Luke Bryan, Rodney Atkins and Vince Gill. He’s played fairs, festivals, theatres, and clubs all over the country. One standout moment to Seth: “The moment Vince let me come up and play with him was a dream come true. Vince is a true inspiration to me my entire life, both as a songwriter and a musician.”
Seth concludes: “Country music fans are the best fans in the world! The music I write isn’t just for me, it’s for them. They’re what I think about when I start to write a song. I’m just like them. I grew up a fan of country music too! Now I’m lucky enough to make my own country music, music I hope they love as much as I do!”
